Really I've only adapted translations, I'm not really interested in working on AO for CoM anymore since STCoM is more of what I'm looking for in a weapon mod, alternatively ddeo's version is more recent work: moddb.com

Call of Misery 1.0c, the version I used is found here, another version that is reported to work is here. (Other versions may cause crashes/errors, please only use these versions)

IF YOU GET CRASHES/ERRORS:
If you get any "can't open wpn_(insert gun here)" errors, I suggest reinstalling both misery and AO, I do not know why such an error occurs since I cannot recreate it. If you have any additional addons, try running Misery+AO alone to be sure it is not caused by the AO.

This is Arsenal Overhaul ported to Call of Misery in English, includes edits to weapon degradation rates to match Misery's and three optional files:
- Original Arsenal Overhaul Weapon Degradation
- Enemies Don't Always Drop Broken Guns
- Open Scopes
- Enables Grenades (May cause grenade spam!)

- Fixed NPC's grenade mayhem (Thanks bi0nicman for the fix!) They now throw less often and less accurately, no more grenades landing directly at your feet every time.

- NPC grenades are still a bit ridiculous, so they are disabled by default, they can be re-added via the Optional files.
INSTALLATION:
Ensure CoM 1.0c w/ English Translation are installed, drop gamedata into main Call of Misery folder, drop in desired optional files in similar fashion.

Can i use the cooking on campfire addon from apro with this? The addon has compability patch for the russian AO. There is also xMod, which requires AO, but i havent manage to make that one work with CoM english translation.
I'm not sure if it will work, but if it has an AO compatibility patch then it's possible, only way to know is to try it out. If it doesn't, I can attempt to make a compatibility patch for the patch.

Hi i got a problem with your mod, when i launch the game i got a crash instantly and a report of a fatal error.

What should i do ? I copy paste all the gamedata that i need and i got the english translation of call of misery !
Strange error, I had it before and thought I fixed it. I don't know why it happens since the only thing I changed in the file is the condition_shot and condition_queue_shot. On my end I got it to work by replacing it with a file from the Original AO Weapon Degredation file and re-doing the change.

On the first line there is an extra "a" before the line, remove it.

Not sure why it's doing that but I'll look into it, for now replace wpn_sig220.ltx from gamedata > configs > weapons with the one from Original AO Weapon Degredation folder

Hmm, i wonder why no one's yet ported the weapon pack from Misery to COC. OGR Weapon pack, i think it's called ? It's got some very cool weapons, and a lot that not one of the current weapon packs have.
You mean - TAZ The Armed Zone? It's in the alpha version already but can't be run due errors.

Same error as adriendu13009 and SpecShadow ... If you guys want a quick "fix" just delete the "w_sig220.ltx" from "Call of Misery\gamedata\configs\weapons" haha Cx .. it works for me now..
Played some time with it and I must admit that combination of Misery and AO is pretty good combination. Definitely will venture further into the Zone with these toys.
Another good thing is lower degradation of knives, that thing was nasty in CoM.

I'm actually am working on an AO+OA merge for CoM (Maybe a standalone, but honestly who wants to use Vanilla Misery weapons?), it'll take a while though, pretty much of the porting work was already done for AO by Dimeyne I just had to get the descriptions in English
Not the weapons! But i´ve a CoM Version with the beautyfull open scopes and using AO means the loss of them...
Hi could you make a merge for the Armed Zone? I'm not a big fan of AO But SCTOP Is ok but does not fit the misery feel of a struggle for survival and The Armed Zone port would be amazing (I know they have a port for Call of Misery but its a older version 0.979)
I may attempt to fix up TAZ for Call of Misery, but I'll focus on making sure AO works fine and porting OA first.

To remove the annoying grenade spam, try to:
Create rx_gl.ltx in gamedata\configs\ai_tweaks and paste this Hastebin.com into it.

Have you tested this? rx_gl should only be affecting grenade launchers (M203, Groza, etc), at least according to the original release from CoP. Tweaking rx_gl was my first attempt to reduce the grenade spam too, and I saw no difference with tweaking, disabling, or any of the fields stated.
I still don't know how to tweak or at the very least disable thrown grenades, because the AI is really excessive with the powerful AO3 grenades.
NPC's can't use weapon integrated grenade launchers as far as I know, rx_gl does indeed affect thrown grenades by delaying how often they are thrown and aim time by npcs, as well as tweaking max/min throw distance.
If spawn_period is set to 0, they will not throw grenades at all, because they wont appear in their inventory

There is no such file added by Arsenal Overhaul, it must be the Call of Misery itself, try reinstalling and make sure it runs before adding any addons. I recommend the full repack since that's what I used
It only happens when loading an existing savefile after installing AO, a fresh start doesn't crash the game. I may try throwing away the smoke grenades in my inventory and trying again.
Is it not possible to install this mid-game? Does it require a new game?
It will need a new game, since it uses very few vanilla misery weapons that it could cause issues.

w_sig220_camo_up.ltx wasn't at all edited, the one in Original AO Weapon Degradation should be identical, if replacing it with that one doesn't work, then I can only say reinstall. These file opening errors are a mystery to me.

I get this error when i go to the red woods zone when a stalker tries to use the sig220
The sig220 is a pistol, so it crashes when an npcs pulls it out? I didn't edit any animations, so it may be Misery itself
Well i dont know how to fix it becuase this means that i cant go in to that zone or any other zone that has a npc using that pistol.
I'd try reinstalling Call of Misery, I suspect there are slightly different version floating around since there's many separate downloads on the russian forums
okay because i removed the w_sig220.ltx file because i got that error as a lot of other people hade and im using the offical call of misery mod that they got out this one: Yadi.sk. So i dont belive its the misery mod doing it.
Honestly I have no idea why it does that, whether its something I did or it was something happening in Dimeynes version of AO, it seems to work on my end, the version I used was a repack off of here Mega.nz
